Safa Hawash

Born and raised in Virginia, Safa Hawash is a student journalist at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, pursuing a degree in Graphic Design and Communication with a concentration in Media Production and Criticism. She is a community organiser who works as the Distribution Manager in the Communications department of Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Centre in Falls Church, VA. Safa is focused on strategising efficient systems of media distribution for local organisations. She is a passionate human rights activist dedicated to telling stories that go unheard.
