The Israeli occupation forces seized a number of Palestinians overnight in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Information Centre has reported. The seizures took place amid confrontations with resistance fighters in the occupied Palestinian territory.
According to local sources, the Israelis took six young men from their homes in Faqqu’ah village near Jenin. In Bethlehem, two Palestinians were taken away after their homes were ransacked in Nahalin. And in Hebron, Israeli soldiers assaulted and seized three local Palestinians during raids on homes in Jabel Al-Rahma neighbourhood in the city.
Soldiers also attacked a young man in the same neighbourhood and hit him with their rifle butts, wounding him in the head. He was reportedly rushed to Al-Khalil Hospital for first aid.
Occupation forces stormed other areas of Al-Khalil (Hebron) province and seized two Palestinians from Deir Samet and a third from Yatta. Another young Palestinian was taken away following a raid by occupation forces on his home in Qalqilya.
Moreover, scores of extremist Jewish settlers stormed the east of Nablus in the West Bank last night under military protection and performed Talmudic rituals at Joseph’s Tomb. Several Palestinians were reported to have been injured during skirmishes with Israeli forces in the location of the tomb. Resistance fighters clashed with Israeli soldiers in the area and detonated an explosive device near an Israeli army vehicle.
In Ramallah, one young man was wounded by live fire and five others were seized by the occupation forces last night. The Israeli forces also entered other areas of the West Bank, with no reported arrests.
