Sudan ready for serious engagement with Riyadh and Washington to bring peace

Sudan’s Prime Minister, Kamil Idris, said on Thursday that Khartoum is ready to engage seriously with Saudi Arabia and the United States to achieve peace and security in the country.

In an official statement, the Sudanese government welcomed the efforts of Saudi Arabia and the United States to establish fair and lasting peace in Sudan.

Idris stressed the government’s full readiness to work closely with Riyadh and Washington to secure peace, stability, and prosperity for the Sudanese people.

He also thanked both countries for their ongoing efforts since the outbreak of the conflict in Sudan, aimed at stopping the fighting and promoting peace.

On Wednesday, US President’s Africa advisor Massad Boulos said the United States is “committed to ending the horrific conflict in Sudan.”

Meanwhile, Sudan’s Transitional Sovereign Council also welcomed the efforts of Saudi Arabia and the United States to bring “just and fair peace” to the country.
