Israeli occupation forces carried out a large-scale demolition operation in the city of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, on Monday evening.
Soldiers used explosives to destroy several residential buildings in the eastern part of the city, causing significant material damage in the area.
At the same time, Israeli artillery shelled eastern areas of Jabalia in the north of the Gaza Strip, while Israeli tanks opened fire towards the al-Tuffah neighbourhood, east of Gaza City.
These operations have led to widespread damage, the displacement of families, and serious risks to civilian lives. This comes as the besieged Gaza Strip continues to face a severe humanitarian crisis, with a shortage of shelters and basic services.
Since 7 October 2023, Israel, with US and European support, has carried out what Palestinian sources describe as acts of genocide in the Gaza Strip. These actions have included killings, starvation, destruction, forced displacement, and arrests, despite international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice calling for a halt to the operations.
