Israeli airline El Al announced on Sunday a new service allowing passengers to cancel flights and receive a full credit voucher with no extra charges. The move comes amid growing uncertainty over regional tensions with Iran.
The new service, called “Travel with peace of mind,” will be available to new ticket buyers from Monday for a period of two weeks. It allows passengers to cancel their tickets for any reason up to 48 hours before departure and receive a full credit voucher, without any cancellation charges.
The service will be free at the time of purchase and applies only to new bookings for flights to and from all El Al destinations until 17 March. It does not cover LITE tickets or reward points bookings.
At the same time, El Al said it will strengthen its customer service centres from Monday to provide solutions for passengers with existing bookings who wish to change their flights.
