The United States has begun evacuating dozens of personnel from its embassy in Beirut as regional tensions intensify, while Israel announced expanded military preparations linked to a potential confrontation involving Iran and Hezbollah.

Diplomatic sources and Lebanon’s LBCI television reported that dozens of US embassy staff were evacuated on Monday, 23rd February 2026, via Rafik Hariri International Airport.

The move was described as a precautionary measure amid growing concerns over possible regional escalation. Security advisories issued to American citizens in Lebanon urged heightened vigilance and recommended avoiding crowded public areas.

The partial evacuation reflects mounting diplomatic anxiety as tensions across the Middle East continue to rise.

Meanwhile, assessments within the Israeli General Staff indicate the adoption of a new crisis-management strategy designed to maintain long-term operational readiness without exhausting military resources.

According to military evaluations, Israeli intelligence is identifying strategic targets inside Iran and preparing a joint operations framework coordinating multiple fronts.

Israeli media also reported that elite Golani and Paratroopers brigades are conducting intensive exercises in the occupied Golan Heights, simulating a potential ground offensive in southern Lebanon.

The developments on both sides underscore growing fears that the current regional tensions could expand into a wider confrontation.
