Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, leader of Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement, said on Thursday that his group stands with Iran in the ongoing regional conflict and is prepared to take action if developments require it.
In a televised speech broadcast by Houthi-affiliated media, al-Houthi said the movement considered the confrontation involving Iran to be a broader struggle affecting the entire region.
“Our hands are on the trigger at any moment the developments require it,” he said, warning that the group remains ready to intervene if the situation escalates further.
Al-Houthi accused Israel of seeking to impose what he described as a policy of domination across the region and of preparing for a wider war against those he referred to as “the free people of the nation”.

He also alleged that Israel was attempting to expand its military campaign by compiling new targets and securing financial and military support from regional allies.
During his speech, the Houthi leader criticised several Gulf Arab states, accusing them of prioritising the protection of American military bases in the region.
He claimed that some governments were focusing their efforts on safeguarding US facilities that he said had contributed to military operations against Iran.
Al-Houthi also mocked Gulf states that have complained to the United Nations about Iranian strikes on their territories during the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel.
The remarks come as tensions continue to spread across the Middle East, raising concerns that additional armed groups could become directly involved in the widening confrontation.
