Israeli attacks on Lebanon killed 23 people and wounded 98 others over the past 24 hours, the Lebanese Health Ministry said on Thursday, Anadolu reports.

In a statement carried by the National News Agency, the ministry added that the total death toll since March 2 has risen to 1,368, with 4,138 people injured.

The toll includes 125 children and 91 women.

Israel has pounded Lebanon with airstrikes and launched a ground offensive in the south since a cross-border attack by Hezbollah on March 2.

Lebanese authorities said that nearly 1,318 people have since been killed and 3,935 others wounded in the Israeli assault.
