The Government Media Office in Gaza has denied remarks by Nikolay Mladenov, the “high representative for Gaza” at the so-called Board of Peace, claiming that 602 aid trucks entered the enclave on Thursday.

Mladenov said in a post on X on Thursday evening that “602 trucks entered Gaza today with essential supplies for families who have waited too long.”

In response, the Gaza Government Media Office said in a statement that Malenkov’s figures were “false, inaccurate and lacked credibility.”

It added that official data for 9 April showed that only 207 trucks entered Gaza, including 79 carrying aid, while the rest were commercial goods for private companies, according to Palestinian commercial sources.

The office said the number of trucks entering Gaza “does not meet the level of humanitarian response required and in no way reflects the kind of scaled access claimed by Mladenov.”

It noted that “Israel’s implementation of the humanitarian protocol under the ceasefire agreement has not exceeded 38 per cent of what was agreed upon,” according to Anadolu Agency.
