Qalibaf says Iran has rebuilt military capabilities, would be stronger in future conflict

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said Iran has significantly strengthened and rebuilt its military capabilities, asserting that the country’s armed forces would perform more effectively in any future conflict.

Qalibaf said Iran had achieved military advances over the past 15 months equivalent to what would previously have taken a decade.

“The performance of Iranian forces has improved in every round of the war,” Qalibaf said, adding that Tehran was continuing efforts to rebuild its armed forces and strengthen both offensive and defensive capabilities.

He said the military was using the current period to restore and expand its capabilities, emphasising Iran’s reliance on domestic technology and expertise.

According to Qalibaf, Iran’s military development is being driven largely by Iranian specialists and technological capabilities rather than dependence on foreign assistance.

The remarks come as Iranian officials say the country has used the ceasefire period to replenish and improve military capabilities affected by the recent conflict.
