4 members of same family killed in Israeli strike on Gaza home despite ceasefire

Four Palestinians from the same family were killed on Thursday in an Israeli airstrike targeting a home in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza Strip, despite an ongoing ceasefire, according to a medical source, Anadolu reports.

The source told Anadolu that the four bodies were taken to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City after the strike hit a house belonging to the Ahmed family in Beit Lahia Project.

Several others were also injured in the attack, while many were missing under the rubble, the source said.

Meanwhile, several injured were taken to Al-Shifa Hospital early Thursday after Israeli military vehicles and a drone opened fire on shelters and tents housing the displaced in Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, WAFA news agency reported.

Israeli warplanes also carried out an airstrike near Kamal Adwan Hospital in the camp.

Separately, Israeli naval vessels opened heavy fire in the waters off Khan Younis and in areas east of the central Gaza Strip.

The attacks marked the latest Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in effect since Oct. 10, 2025.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said in a separate update that hospitals have received one body of a Palestinian and 30 people who were injured in the last 24 hours as a result of Israeli attacks.

It was not clear whether the death reported by the ministry was among the four killed in the Israeli strike on the Beit Lahia home.

The ministry said the death toll since the ceasefire took effect Oct. 10, 2025, rose to 1,359, while the number injured reached 4,571. It added that 831 bodies have been recovered during that period.

The overall death toll since the start of Israel’s genocide in Gaza on Oct. 7, 2023 has risen to 73,670, with 174,682 injured, according to the ministry.​​​​​​​

It said several victims remain trapped under rubble and on roads, as ambulance and civil defense teams are unable to reach them.
