Iran threatens US with new weapons, new targets If US attacks

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned on Monday that if the United States launches another attack on Iran, Tehran will deploy new weapons and strike targets that have not been targeted before.

IRGC spokesman Hossein Mohebbi said Iran would also change the “geography of the war” if another attack takes place.

“If there is new aggression, we will certainly introduce new weapons with new capabilities into the fray, and the world will be astonished,” the Fars agency quoted him as saying.

“Our targets will also no longer be the same. We have new targets that have not yet been struck.” Mohebbi said. He added that Iran was also prepared for “a prolonged war.”

The threat came after the commander of Khatam al-Anbiya, Iran’s joint operational command of the armed forces, said over the weekend that he had received information indicating that the United States was planning to resume operations against Iran.

The commander warned that if this happened, US bases and interests in the region would face “continuous, effective and painful” attacks.
