The Al-Awda Health and Community Complex in Nuseirat announced on Tuesday the temporary suspension of all health and medical services except reception and emergency care due to persistent problems with its electricity generators.
In a brief statement, the complex said the suspension would take effect at 8:00 p.m., after repeated generator failures made it impossible to operate medical departments and services effectively.
The complex said the decision was taken in coordination with Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital and the American Hospital in Deir al-Balah.
Health services will remain suspended until the generator problems are resolved and the units are operational again, the complex said, citing the need to ensure patient safety and continuity of medical care.
The suspension comes amid an ongoing crisis in Gaza’s health sector, including shortages of fuel and energy needed to operate medical facilities, damage to health infrastructure and shortages of medical supplies.
