Europe warns businesses about dealing with settlement companies

January 30, 2014 at 11:31 am

Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth has claimed that several European countries have warned their businessmen against trading with companies based in or producing goods on Israeli settlements.

The newspaper said that Israeli ambassadors in Britain, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark had told the Foreign Ministry that the campaign to boycott products from Israeli settlements has intensified and that these countries view economic relations with the settlements as a violation of local and international laws.

According to a source in the ministry, other countries are also expected to warn their citizens about doing business with settlement companies and produce.
