The Urgent Matters Court in Alexandria postponed a judicial case which would force the coup leader to run for presidential elections in Egypt.

Jurors postponed their decision on the case, which was filed by lawyer Ahmed Izzul-Arab, until December 29.

Izzul-Arab is the coordinator of the National Front for the Support of Egypt. His inzel (run for elections) campaign calls for General Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to run in the upcoming elections.

Lawyer Sayyid Zein, representing the Egyptian defence ministry, said that Al-Sisi had to personally attend the hearing session, when the case was to be decided. He has to say whether he would or would not stand for election.

A member of the inzel campaign, Mohamed Khayal, said that the campaign has now got 10,000 signatures calling for Al-Sisi to run for president.
