Former Egyptian mufti supports the killing of protesters

Now, we shall be addressed by His Eminence Dr. Ali Gom’ah, the former Mufti of the Egyptian Lands.

“Never sacrifice your personnel and soldiers for the sake of these Kharijites (renegades)”

“Blessed be he who kills them or gets killed by them”

“He who kills them is more worthy of Godliness than them”

“We must cleanse our city and our Egypt from these hooligans”

“They do not deserve our Egyptian [identity]”

“We are ashamed of them”

“We must disown them [for we are not to be blamed regarding them] just as the wolf could not be blamed for (shedding) the blood of Jacob’s son”

“These are rotten people whose smell is ugly on the outside as well as on the inside”

“The Prophet peace be upon him warned us from them”

“They say: legitimacy. What legitimacy?”

“A quarantined leader in Islamic jurisprudence loses his legitimacy”

“A quarantined leader, remember this words. This is a quarantined leader, a restricted one; that is a detained one. What’s even worse is that he’s been referred to the judiciary. As such, even if he is suspected to have some legitimacy, his legitimacy would have been completely lost. And he had been left not with the slightest of legitimacy. Meaning at one third (sic)”

“There has been an abundance of [dream] visions of the Prophet peace be upon him and of the saints declaring their support for you.”

“When I saw the pictures of Al-Fatah Mosque yesterday (this is the mosque at Ramsis square in Cairo that was besieged overnight by the security forces to flush pro-democracy supporters on 17 August 2013), [I saw] the rubbish, the filth and the terror they lived through, it is as if this was a Divine punishment incurred upon them.”

“A mosque was set on fire by the apostle of God. Why? Because he did not want to see this slyness, this cunning, this overt sinfulness and covert corruption. That’s why he designated the Kharijites as dogs of the fire despite their prayers, fasting, Qur’anic recitation, etc. etc.”

“So, don’t you ever be concerned that [they may attack you in the name of religion] for religion is on your side and so is God and his Messenger on your side. The believers are with you and the entire people support you.”

“Be steadfast and convey this sentiment to your folks, your neighbours, your personnel and your troops. Convey this and spread it. We are on the [path of] truth. The [enemy’s] congregation will be defeated and will turn their back and flee.”

“Honourable audience. May God please you and be pleased with you”

“Thank you. This is the tolerance of Islam. This is the strength of Islam. This is the sweetness of Islam. Thank you for this meeting.”

“We pray to Allah and say: O Allah let [this] life be in our hands not our hearts. We appeal to you in all your beautiful names and sublime attributes to provide us with victory against our enemies. O Allah defeat them, O Allah defeat them, O Allah defeat them, O Allah defeat them, O Allah defeat them, O Allah defeat them, O Allah defeat them. May God’s peace and prayer be upon the Prophet and his kin and companions and may the peace and mercy of God be upon you.”
