Mass numbers of Egyptian anti-coup protesters took to the streets in almost every Egyptian governorate on Friday despite the continuing crackdown against them, which on Friday resulted in one death and tens wounded.

The victim in Cairo was identified as Belal Fadl, aged 20. He was killed on Abbas Al-Aqad Street.

Tens were also wounded in the Sidi Bishr neighbourhood in Alexandria after a mini bus ran over protesters. Four among the wounded were reported as suffering from serious injuries.

A short video was produced by the Egyptian El-Shaab newspaper and published on social media, featuring thousands of protesters peacefully marching in the Egyptian streets.

In the video the protesters chant: “Down to the military rule, the coup is terrorism, Sisi go away, Morsi is the president, a mother of a martyr is saying that military dogs killed her son.”
