Gaza government condemns Egypt's detention of Palestinian refugees

The Palestinian government in Gaza has condemned the Egyptian authorities for their detention of over 650 Palestinian refugees who have fled from the war in Syria. Around 250 of the refugees are children.

In a statement made after its weekly meeting headed by Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, the government stressed the need for Egypt to respect international law and provide relief and humanitarian aid to the refugees.
