The Jerusalem International Foundation is holding an international workshop on Wednesday in the Lebanese capital Beirut to discuss the issue of Jerusalem in light of Israel’s recent escalations and efforts to divide the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Judaise the holy city.

The opening ceremony was attended by ambassadors of Arab and Islamic countries, as well as researchers, experts and clergy from various Muslim and Christian sects.

The leader of Hamas’ political bureau, Khaled Meshaal, is scheduled to deliver an important speech during the workshop entitled “Jerusalem on the agenda of rulers and people”.

The Jerusalem International Foundation is an independent civilian institution that includes Arab, Islamic and international personalities and bodies. The foundation’s mission is to save Jerusalem and to preserve its Arab identity and its Islamic and Christian holy sites and to support Jerusalemites in their struggle against the Israeli occupation.
