PHOTO STORY

Gaza’s Centre for Reform and Rehabilitation has released 51 detainees held on various criminal charges after they had served just two-thirds of their sentences and ‘reformed their ways’.

The director of the centre, Colonel Atiya Mansour, said that it saddened him that there were people being held for committing criminal acts and hoped that they would straighten out their behaviour and lead positive and constructive lives once they had been released from prison back into society.

It is worth mentioning that Gaza’s interior ministry periodically releases detainees after they have completed religious and educational programs to aid them in improving their behaviour and building understanding and sound morality.
