Jewish settlers set fire to Palestinian farms and desecrate cemetery

February 14, 2014 at 1:07 pm

Jewish settlers from the illegal Havat Ma’on settlement have set fire to half-an-acre of wheat grown by Ali Awad in the South Hebron Hills. The arson attack took place on Monday. Witnesses were able to tackle the blaze before even more damage was done.

Meanwhile, another group of settlers attacked an arboretum and destroyed two tractors used by Palestinian farmers in Al-Saweyya neighborhood to the south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank. The settlers also attacked a Palestinian cemetery in the same district and scrawled racist graffiti on the tombs.

According to reports in Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, Jewish settlers are threatening to escalate their attacks against Palestinians in revenge for the death of a settler two weeks ago.
