Israeli incursion in north Gaza Strip

February 15, 2014 at 1:16 pm

Israeli occupation forces have carried out a limited incursion around Beit Hanoun crossing in the north of the Gaza Strip. Witnesses said that six Israeli tanks and two armoured bulldozers went around 300 metres into the territory; the bulldozers were used to destroy agricultural land.

In the same area, an Israeli helicopter gunship fired on farm to the east of Beit Lahiya Agriculture School. No causalities were reported.

Israel has carried out a number of incursions into Gaza in contravention of the terms of the ceasefire which brought an end to its 8-day offensive against Palestinian civilians last November. The truce was encouraged by the US and brokered by Egypt.
