Egyptian Foreign Minister: Israel's policies will lead to explosion in region

Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Mohamed Kamel Amr, on Monday condemned Israeli policies concerning Palestinian prisoners in Israeli custody. These policies resulted in the recent death of Palestinian prisoner, Arafat Jaradat, in Israel’s Megiddo Prison.

Mr Amr warned that a continuation of these policies would lead to an explosion in the regional situation and held Israel responsible for any deterioration.

In a press release issued by the Ministry, Mr Amr expressed condolences to Jaradat’s family and called on the international community to adopt a firm stance against Israel’s “inhuman practices against Palestinian prisoners.”
