Israeli occupation detains prisoner's mother during visit

Israeli occupation forces detained on Monday evening the mother of a Palestinian prisoner during a visit, local sources in the West Bank reported.

According to the sources, the Israelis detained Um Haytham al-Battat from the waiting room in the prison shortly before seeing her son, who is serving three life sentences.

Um Haytham was taken from the waiting room to the prison where she was informed about her detention order.


Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces also detained the wife of another Palestinian prisoner from Hebron while visiting him in Ofer prison to the west of Ramallah city.

Israeli sources surrounded the prisoner’s wife, who have not been identified by the sources, and led her out in front of her imprisoned husband.

No reasons have been revealed by the Israeli forces about the imprisonment of both women.
