Israeli forces have continued shelling various regions of the Gaza Strip. Yesterday night, they launched several raids targeting a sight in the North West of Gaza City belonging to the resistance. Civilian fatalities have been confirmed.
The midnight raid destroyed a neighbouring house belonging to the Al-Za'lan family who were all inside and fast asleep at the time. The roof of the house collapsed on its inhabitants immediately killing the father, Bahjat Al-Za'lan, say medical sources. The mother, another woman and seven children sustained various wounds and injuries; two are said to be serious. The family were all taken to the al-Shifa Hospital.
The Israeli army has expressed regret over the civilian death which has only fuelled the anger being felt on the Palestinian Street; it is considered an expression of disdain for the lives of Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip amid international silence.
The Israeli Occupation began escalations and broke the silence when it assassinated two Palestinian activists yesterday.
