Illegal Jewish settlers have uprooted and stolen 250 olive tree saplings from the town of Sier near Hebron, in the southern part of the Occupied West Bank. According to the Land Research Centre in Hebron, the Jews came from the settlement of Masada.

In a statement, the Centre quoted Ahmed Mohamed Shlalda, one of the owners of the land from where the trees were stolen, as saying that the settlers stole all the saplings on land that the Palestinian farmers had cultivated last Thursday. As well as uprooting the saplings already planted, added Mr. Shlalda, the settlers seized a further 150 saplings that the Israeli Occupation Forces had prevented the farmers from planting.
