Lack of peace with Palestinians "more dangerous" than Iranian nuclear ambitions

The leader of Israel's Kadima Party, Shaul Mofaz, has said that the failure to reach a peace agreement with the Palestinians "is more dangerous that the Iranian nuclear project".

Mofaz told Israeli public radio, "In case of the failure to reach an agreement with the Palestinians, there will not be a Jewish majority in the state of Israel."

If the current impasse in the peace talks continues, he added, in the worst case scenario peace could be imposed by the international community. "That may not be in line with Israel's interests or it could even lead to a third uprising that will have to end by imposing an agreement."
