PA ready to work with any Israeli government committed to international resolutions

February 17, 2014 at 1:50 am

The Palestinian Authority has expressed its readiness to deal with any Israeli government which is committed to the legitimate international resolutions related to the Palestinian cause. Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, however, regard this week’s Israeli election result as a continuation of the state’s aggression and denial of the rights of the Palestinian people.

A spokesman for the Palestinian presidency, Nabil Abu Rdinah, added: “We will deal with any Israeli government that is committed to the decision of the UN General Assembly supporting a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital.”

Commenting on the election result, he expressed the PA’s concerns about the next Israeli government being committed to the two-state solution, putting an end to settlement building and recognising the change of status of Palestine at the UN.
