UNRWA denies Israeli allegations that fighters use its facilities

The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has denied Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) allegations that the Palestinian resistance in Gaza is using the agency’s buildings as missile launch pads. The video “evidence” produced by the IDF is, claims UNRWA, fabricated.

UNRWA has expressed its concern over the release of this video and the use of its logo in an unauthorised manner. “Such allegations during a period of conflict,” said an UNRWA statement, “could have grave repercussions.”

The agency confirmed its strong commitment to the neutrality of its facilities, especially in the light of the high levels of violence in the area.
