The illegal siege on Gaza has had a crippling effect on every aspect of normal Palestinian life for nearly four years. The infrastructure has all but collapsed and the economy is almost non-existent with the majority of the population relying on tunnel goods.

One Palestinian man decided he would protest in an unusual manner – by taking his new bride on a bulldozer, parading through the streets of Gaza City. Hussein Al-Nadja’s family own a construction company, with a large number of trucks and bulldozers now sitting idle due to the lack of construction materials being let in by the Israeli Occupying Forces.

What better way to draw the world’s attention to the effects of the siege?
