Israeli bulldozers entered the Palestinian town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus, on Wednesday, 8th December, and razed a number of houses, tents, agricultural land, as well as a school in Khirbet Tana.
In a formal statement to Quds Press, the Municipality of Beit Furik denounced the Occupation’s operation; calling on human rights and humanitarian organisations “to intervene to stop the Israeli authorities’ illegal activities against the Palestinians in the Occupied West Bank”.
Atef Hanani, the mayor of Beit Furik said: “This is the third time that the Occupation has razed Khirbet’s houses and displaced its inhabitants over the past few years, under the pretext of building without a permit”.
Eyewitnesses reported the bulldozers entered the village in the early hours of the morning accompanied by a large number of soldiers from the Israeli Occupation Forces, and proceeded to demolish the homes, tents, and a school, which was first established by the Palestinian Authority.
Khirbet Tana is located near the Israeli settlement of Makhora, which was established on the lands of Beit Furik in 1969.
