Gaza's Interior Ministry: assassination of two more Palestinians proves the Occupation needs no justifications to kill civilians

February 20, 2014 at 3:32 pm

The Palestinian Interior Ministry in Gaza denounced the Israeli air strike that was launched on Sunday (March 27), killing two Palestinians and wounding three others.

“Today’s crime at the Jabaliya camp proves that the Zionist Occupation needs no justifications to attack innocent civilians.”

The ministry’s spokesperson, Ihab Al Ghussein, stated in a written statement, made available to Quds Press, “The Israeli Occupation is fully responsible for the crime of killing two citizens east of Jabaliya, in the north of the Strip, after they were targeted by a missile from a reconnaissance plane.”

“Despite the Palestinian factions’ reaffirmation of their commitment to calm, and to sparing our people any Zionist attack, the Occupation continues to commit massacres against civilians and children,” he added. Al Ghussein appealed to the international community and rights organisation to “pressure the Occupation to end its serial aggression against the Palestinian people.”

Two Palestinian citizens were killed and three others were wounded on Sunday morning as a result of an Israeli air strike that targeted a car in Jabaliya, north of the Gaza Strip. This brings to 13 the number killed by Israeli occupation this week; around 50 others were wounded.
