A delegation from the Islamic resistance Movement, Hamas, has visited the Sultanate of Oman for high-level talks. Led by the movement’s political bureau chief, Khaled Meshaal, the delegation was met by Oman’s Deputy Prime Minster for Cabinet Affairs, Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, on behalf of Sultan Qaboos. Further meetings were held with the Sultan’s Adviser for Cultural Affairs, Abdel Aziz bin Mohamed, and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Youssef bin Elwy Abdallah.

The Hamas delegation included Dr. Moussa Abu Marzouk, Sami Khater and Mohamed Nasr as well as Meshaal. Their meetings with Omani officials addressed the latest developments in Palestine and the challenges it faces, in addition to current events in the region and how they will affect the Palestinian situation.
