Following an ‘Iftar’ or end of fast meal during the holy month of Ramadan, Prime Minister, Ismail Haniyeh, announced that the Palestinian government in Gaza had allocated approximately five acres of land to build a club for the war-wounded of Gaza.

In his speech, Haniyeh stated that these wounded individuals truly reflected the meaning of resistance, sacrifice, steadfastness and jihad for the sake of God and the Liberation of Palestine. He added that wounded Palestinians had demonstrated resilience and steadfastness with the resistance and jihad, and stressed that the rights of these Palestinian constants would not be neglected at any cost.
He said that this bloody occupation uses tanks, aircraft and lethal internationally proscribed weapons including white phosphorus against a defenceless people. However, in steadfastness and sacrifice they are wounded and martyred. He also added that their enemy reveals to the world their terrorism against the Palestinian people.
