Israeli bulldozers yesterday morning [Sunday 17 October] began the clearing of large tracts of land near the ‘Zafafa’ settlement north of Silfit province in the West Bank. The initial levelling was followed by the foundation laying of new housing units for the settlement. There has been a dangerous increase in settlement expansion throughout the West Bank in recent weeks, which confirm the Occupation’s refusal to halt its illegal activities.
