On Thursday morning, a gang of settlers stormed the northern West Bank town of Yatma situated to the south of Nablus city and attacked the town mosque scrawling abusive anti-Palestinian slogans and graffiti across its external walls and door.

Local town sources state that the majority of the graffiti directed threats against town residents and insults at the Prophet Muhammad while the rest expressed hostility toward Islam and Muslims.

In recent days and weeks, settlers have mounted an escalating number of attacks against Palestinian property and mosques concentrating mostly on the towns and villages of the Nablus area.

Settler gangs have also pelted Palestinian vehicles with stones along the road connecting Ramallah and Nablus and cut down many of the olive trees in the town of Hiwara. Zionist bulldozers under the protection of the Israeli army have also destroyed artesian wells in the town of al-Nasiriya.
