Protests over French closure of Al Aqsa TV Station continue

February 20, 2014 at 3:29 pm

Dozens of children in Gaza demonstrated against the French authorities recent decision to shut down the Palestinian satellite channel “Noursat”. Outside the French Cultural Centre in Gaza City they held up placards in French, English and Arabic asking why France was afraid for the truth to be broadcast. In an act of solidarity with the station some of the children had their mouths covered with duct tape to demonstrate their feeling that the banning of this station is a form of censorship. They are calling on the French authorities to reverse the decision and upon the French people to intervene and help support the Palestinian station.
