Allegations made by British newspapers that Saudi Arabia will allow the passage of Israeli aircraft over its airspace have been described as “vilification and slander” by the Riyadh government. Claims have been made in the British media that Saudi Arabia has agreed with Israel that the Jewish state’s fighter aircraft can cross Saudi airspace in any attack on Iran.

A statement issued by the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Cairo denounced the claims. An official source said, “The Kingdom reaffirms its firm position which is to oppose the violation of its sovereignty and the use of its airspace or territory by whoever to attack any country, and that this policy is more likely to apply on the Israeli occupation authority with which the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has no relationship of any kind.”
