Chief Fatah official in Jerusalem accuse the Palestinian Authority of preventing West Bank protest

February 27, 2014 at 11:46 am

Fatah’s head of Jerusalem affairs has accused the Palestinian Authority and its security services of preventing Palestinian citizens from expressing their anger at what is happening in the city, particularly yesterday’s opening of a synagogue next to Al Aqsa Mosque.

Hatem Abdul Qadir denounced the justification given by the Palestinian Authority for preventing the protests in the West Bank.

Abdul Qadir further warned of an escalation of confrontation in Jerusalem, reiterating his call for mobilisation to support the Al Aqsa Mosque.

He emphasised that what is happening in Jerusalem is similar to the first Palestinian uprising, stressing that the “men and youth of Jerusalem are able to protect the city despite the despicable Arab silence.”
