Confusion surrounds the whereabouts of MV Rachel Corrie

Political sources in Jerusalem have claimed that the MV Rachel Corrie carrying aid to the Gaza Strip has changed its course and may not reach its destination. According to a passenger on the Irish ship, however, the vessel has been sabotaged by Israel and it has to return to port for repairs, a process expected to take a few weeks.

Irish state radio, TRE1, rejected Israeli media reports that the Rachel Corrie has abandoned its attempt to break the siege of Gaza. Quoting some peace activists on board, the radio said that the ship is due to reach the coast of Gaza within 24 hours.
