Israeli report: Abbas' inner circle embroiled in embezzlement of international aid and sexual misconduct

An Israeli media source has reported that close associates of the Palestinian Authority President, Mahmoud Abbas, were involved in the embezzlement of large sums of money from the European Union and Arab countries.

The report, aired on the Israel’s Channel 10 television last night, was based on a six-year investigation made by an official detective in the Palestinian intelligence service, Shabana Fahmi al-Tamimi, who also revealed sex scandals at the heart of the Palestinian Presidential Office.

The televised report unveiled that people close to Abbas withdrew funds, estimated at millions of dollars, from the Palestinian Authority’s accounts in Amman and Cairo.

The Israeli Channel also aired a videotape showing a senior official in the Palestinian Authority making sexual advances to a woman who had applied for a job in the president’s office.

Palestinian security sources have strongly denied the report of the Israeli channel and described al-Tamimi as “a nitwit looking for fame”.
