Poll Suggests Majority of Palestinians Support Proposal for Dissolution of PA in West Bank and Gaza Strip

An opinion poll conducted by the 'Sama' News Agency on its website revealed that the majority of Palestinians support a proposal to dissolve the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

The survey, which was carried out on the agency's site over the course of a week, attracted participation from 2,596 voters. 1,861 voters or 71.7% of the votes favoured a proposal to dissolve the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. 26.1% of voters said they opposed the proposals while 2.2% of voters responded 'I do not know'.

With regard to the geographic distribution of voters, 35.6% came from the West Bank and 46.7% from the Gaza Strip with remainder coming from various countries around the globe.
