Protests continue against security belt

Palestinian residents from the border town of New Abasan in the south of the Gaza Strip have been organizing weekly demonstrations against the Israeli security belt imposed on the area.

On several occasions, the Occupation Forces opened fire on the peaceful demonstrators. The security belt has adversely affected local farmers who are denied access to their lands. They are demanding that the security restrictions be lifted.
