The Government Ministries complex was targeted on numerous occasions during the Gaza war by Israeli F-16 fighter planes.

The debris is now being removed and the waste from the destruction re-cycled and used in the construction of new buildings. Stones are re-cracked and iron is also re-used as the materials necessary for new construction is prohibited from entering the Gaza Strip under the Israeli blockade that has been in place in the sector for almost four years now.
