Recent Events in the West Bank

On Tuesday the 15th of June, two events took place in the West Bank, a Palestinian Media Conference and a graduation ceremony for students of the Holy Quran.

The Palestinian Media Conference, which took place at al-Najah National University, was held under the auspices of the West Bank Ministry of media, the district of Nablus and Al-Najah University. It was attended by noteworthy figures within the media including writers, journalists and academics. The conference provided a valuable opportunity to discuss a range of key issues affecting Media in both the occupied territories and the Middle East as a whole.

The Graduation Ceremony held for this year’s graduates from the Quran academy, which is affiliated with the al-Tadamin Charitable Foundation. Graduates memorise the entire Quran over the course of their 10 years of study at the academy. The ceremony was attended by the head of the police and the sector, members of the charity’s committee, the lead professor of the graduates and their families and friends.
