Six people died and 14 others were injured on Saturday night when a car exploded in one of the underground tunnels on the border town of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

It is believed a gas cylinder exploded inside a tunnel leading to the deaths of the six.

The underground tunnels scattered along the border with Egypt have claimed the lives of dozens of workers who were forced to work there due to the Israeli siege of the territory now in its fourth year.
