Fatah's Revolutionary Council discusses Abbas' decision not to contest presidential elections

Palestinian sources of Fatah Movement in the Occupied West Bank announced that the Revolutionary Council of the Movement held a consultative meeting, on Sunday, November 8, to discuss the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’ decision not to re-run for the coming presidential elections scheduled for next January 24.

A member of the Council and the spokesman of the movement, Fahmi Zarir, said that the Movement’s Council, at the request of its secretary, held a consultative meeting attended by all its members to discuss the reasons behind the decision and its implications.
