Israeli radio reports joint Italian-Israeli military exercises

The Jewish broadcasting service revealed yesterday (19/10) that joint military exercises were conducted two weeks ago between the Israeli and Italian Air Forces.

The radio station revealed that the exercises took place in the air-space above Sardinia, noting that it entailed mock air battles, attacks on ground targets and refuelling operations in the air.

These joint exercises come in the wake of Turkey's decision to cancel similar training with the Israeli Air Force. The Turks objected to joint exercises with the same F16s which were used to attack civilians in the Gaza Strip in 2008-2009.
