Three photographers from the Gaza Strip won international awards, in a competition held in the United States of America, for pictures they took during the last Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian sources said that photojournalist Khalil Abu Hamra won the first place for the Spot News category in the Atlanta International competition; Majed Hamdan won the second place on the same category; and photographer Adel Hana won first place for the Portrait category of the same the contest.
The three photojournalists are Associated Press journalists, and the photos they entered the competition with were taken during their coverage of the recent Israeli war on the Gaza Strip last winter.
