An unmanned aviation vehicle (UAV) belonging to the Israel Defence Forces crashed on Wednesday morning to the east of Rafah in the Gaza Strip. Witnesses told local media that the drone was flying close to the border near Israel’s Al-Motabaq Military Base.
Wreckage from the aircraft was picked up by Israeli security forces. No reasons for the crash have been released by the government in Tel Aviv.
